Such a wonderful retinol serum! The combination of 0.08% retinol and 1% bakuchiol helps reduce the fine lines on my forehead and the rice extract and ceramides keep my skin hydrated and smooth! After about a month of using it, I have noticed that my forehead looks and feels tighter and smoother, although I am used to 0.5% retinol, so the effects aren't as visible as on someone who is just starting their retinol journey. The formula is so wonderfully milky and lightweight, so it absorbs within 15 seconds! And it doesn't feel tacky one bit! Seriously, what an amazing serum!

This stuff is INCREDIBLE. I was disappointed in the size at first but, I would rather a brand offer me half the product, with a smaller price tag, than only offer a larger amount for double the asking price. Especially given the wonderful formula. It has been effective and my skin LOVES it.My skin absorbs it nicely, without any issues. I did not experience any un-wanted side effects after applying. My skin has visibly improved after only a couple of weeks. All in all, I am loving this serum. I am seeing great results and my skin is visibly firmer and bouncy. It looks plump and happier overall, I RECOMMEND.

This serum is kind of creamy or milky. It has a different consistency from most other retinol/bakuchiol serums that I've tried. It's unscented and a little bit tacky. The retinol level is pretty low so it's suitable for beginners or those with sensitive skin. I like it for layering under my night time moistuizer.
This serum is definitely great, plenty of retinol which I need and works really well with my moisturizer, definitely great feeling and skin improvements after few weeks of use. I combined it with my pretty rich night cream and those 2 work really nicely together. It soaks up fairly quickly and doesn't leave any residue so perfect for my combo skin. Don't forget to wear spf everyday due to retinol. Great serum, really like it!
Great beginner serum! Low levels of retinol make it easy to use for skincare beginners who are just beginning to dip their metaphorical toes into the vast world of products out there. Nice formula -- nice, light, fragrance-free, and doesn't leave much of a residue. I'm new to retinol, so this was the perfect product for my first try. Working out great so far and I'm excited to see what the long-term results are after a couple months of use.
This is a really nice serum. It goes on my skin nicely and doesn't irritate it. I've had adverse reactions to other retinol products before but not so with this one, which is great. The serum makes my skin feel smooth and polished and so far it's been doing well on my skin. The only negative would be that 20ml is not a lot of product.

I will apply this after my essence stage and pre serums. It comes in a pump bottle that more of the light cream/serum consistency (make sure you don't mix it with vitamin c and make sure you apply sunscreen the next day after using to protect your skin, since it'll be more sensitive). I've noticed some of my forehead lines not appearing as deep as before with consistent use.
This HARUHARU wonder Black Rice Night Knight Retinol Serum is a good nighttime serum. It contains both retinol and bakuchiol, which are good for reducing fine lines. You need to apply SPF after use, or the next day since your skin may be sun sensitive. It is a gentle serum though overall.

This is a retinol for beginners or those who have sensitive skin as the percentage is very low at 0.08%. It has a lightweight texture, easy to apply and it absorbs nicely, without a sticky residue. The fragrance is fairly light. This helps with maintenance on my skin, as I need a stronger percentage to really have results. This keeps my skin soft and moisturized over night.
I love Haruharu products, so I was ecstatic to see that they have an eye cream that not only has retinol but also bakuchiol, which is my new favorite skincare ingredient!The combination of retinol and bakuchiol is incredible, retinol can be very harsh on my very sensitiveskin, especially when used daily, so I made the switch to bakuchiol months ago and never looked back. Bakuchiol is natures retinol, it has the same incredible benefits of retinol only without the harshness, the low percentage of retinol in this cream is good for my sensitive skin and doesn't irritate my eyes like most eye creams with retinol do!This eye cream is thin and all I need is one little pump to cover both my eyes, seeing that this product is not the cheapest, I really like that. I do think that the price is more than justified for this incredible product, it makes my eyes look more refreshed, hydrated, makes them look more plump and happy. I'll have to see if they make a face cream with the same ingredients, I feel like my whole face would benefit from it!
This facial serum from HaruHaru is quite gentle and hydrating on my face and layers well with my other serums. It's quite powerful and I found it was effective as it changed my skin texture from dry and red with lots of splotchy rough areas so very soft without a red mark in sight. It pairs well with most moisturisers and I find it isn't sticky and the scent isn't too much. Drydown time was around ten minutes so keep that in mind before moving on to the next step of skincare. As always, wear sunscreen in the day as your last step unless you want crispy skin. Overall, I recommend this and would likely reorder as it is a good quality serum and a good value.
haruharu wonder's Black Rice Night Knight Retinol Serum is really impressive! It has noticeably smoothed my complexion after two weeks of use. The liquid is not too light and not too heavy. I like this serum enough to buy it again.
Good! I love the dispenser for one, feels luxurious for sure. The serum is hydrating and blends nicely imo, can't assess tackiness because I always moisturize after. EXCELLENT that there's no added fragrance. The stearates and sunflower seed oil place this on the possible trigger for FA breakouts list for my sensitive skin unfortunatelyBut it seems nicely formulated otherwise, pretty gentle and happy there's not much extras like niacinamide to potentially irritate/complicate. Retinol concentration is super low so I was excited to try because everything so far has caused my skin to freak out
This is a good retinol serum. The consistency is different than a typical serum. This is more of a creamy serum than a liquid one. It didn't irritate my skin. I did apply a good moisturizer afterwards to make sure I don't peel or it doesn't dry my skin. I have oily acne prone skin so I applied a very small amount to make sure I don't breakout specially since this contains sunflower oil (higher up in the ingredient list) and bakuchiol. It does make my skin feel soft, but again I can't use the amount I should because I don't want to breakout. This serum would be ideal for those that are not acne prone or have issues with oils like me. Priced at $25 for a small 0.67 ounces is a lot.
This serum is very milky and thin/runny, which isn't my favorite consistency. However, it is unscented, and absorbs well into the skin. It's good for using under a night cream or something more substantial. I will continue to use it to see if I notice a difference.
This had no smell and dispensed easily. It absorbed nicely into my skin and felt light weight. It has improved my skin texture and I think it is effective. It didn't give me any bad skin reactions and it felt pretty gentle. I do feel it is a bit small and pricey though.
Love the design and coloring of the bottle. It is a pump function with no cap so I don't have to worry about losing/dropping the cap and also dipping my finger and contaminating the cream. The consistency is milky and lovely. It spreads easily across my face where the liquid has no scent to it. It's so soft on my skin and helps to not only moisturize it, but also to help increase cell turnover to reduce acne. Very happy with its effects thus far!

This serum came in a branded box with a safety seal, labeled in both Korean and English. It's actually a combination of a very low concentration of retinol and a higher combination of bakuchiol (a plant-based retinol substitute especially popular in K-beauty).I've recently started using more bakuchiol products and it really does have a lot of the firming and smoothing effects of retinols with almost none of the irritation risk. This serum seems to add just enough "real" retinol to boost the results while still keeping it very gentle. I most notice the difference (compared to 1-2% of just bakuchiol) when it comes to pores/texture.I have normal, generally non-sensitive skin. This serum has a lightweight texture, between a serum and light lotion. It absorbs quickly with a relatively matte finish. There is a mild, slightly herbal/medicinal scent that dissipates quickly after applying. The expiration date was about 18 months out.I'm happy with the product and results, but deducted a star for the value compared to similar Korean skincare products and for leading with this as a "retinol" serum which I think implies a higher concentration than 0.08%. The combination of bakuchiol and a small retinol boost seems effective, and I think they should market leading with that!
